Connecting Ring failed

Connecting your Ring account happens on Ring’s page, then the app finishes on its own. When it doesn’t, the app says why. Find the message below. Each one comes with a Try again link.
  • Couldn’t reach videowatchlive.com — try again. Your iPhone couldn’t reach us. Check Wi-Fi or cellular data and tap Try again.
  • Couldn’t open Ring linking — pair with a code instead. and Automatic connection failed — pair with a code instead. Tap Connect Ring Account once more first: it usually works on a second try and needs no code. If it keeps failing, tap Show Pairing Code, then enter the code on the Video Watch Live page that opens after you add the app in Ring. Closed that page? Get a link by email.
  • Code expired — start again. Codes last a few minutes. Tap Try again for a fresh one.

Back on the Welcome screen?

If the app goes back to Welcome by itself, its access to your Ring account was removed. That happens if Video Watch Live is removed in the Ring app’s Apps section, or if you change your Ring password. Tap Connect Ring Account to connect again.

Can't find the app in Ring? Open the Video Watch Live listing in the Ring Appstore and add it from there. On your iPhone, the page that opens signs the app in for you. On a computer, it asks for the code behind Show Pairing Code.
