Not getting alerts

Alerts pass through three switches: ours, iOS, and your watch. Check each one.

Check Motion & Doorbell Alerts in our Settings.

In the iPhone app, open Settings and make sure it’s on. If it says Allow Notifications in Settings, tap it and allow notifications for Video Watch Live in iOS Settings.

Check Focus and Do Not Disturb.

A Focus mode on your iPhone silences alerts on the watch too. Allow Video Watch Live in that Focus, or turn it off.

Check the watch's notification settings.

In the Watch app on your iPhone, open Notifications and make sure Video Watch Live mirrors your iPhone alerts. The watch only shows them while your iPhone is locked.

Check the camera in the Ring app.

We send an alert when Ring reports an event. If motion detection is off or snoozed for a camera in the Ring app, there’s nothing for us to send.
Watching live right now? Motion that your own live view triggers doesn’t send an alert, so looking at a camera won’t set off notifications about yourself.
