Subscription & pricing
What you pay
- Price: $1.99/month per camera, monthly.
- Counted by: cameras you connect to Video Watch Live, not the Ring devices you leave unconnected.
- Free trial: 7 days. It rolls into the paid plan unless you cancel first.
- Tax: added by Ring, based on your state.
- Charged to: the card you already have on file with Ring.
Why it’s per camera
The Ring Appstore supports one pricing model for partner apps today: a monthly subscription per device. That’s what we can offer. You only pay for the cameras you connect, so connecting three means paying for three, whatever else is on your Ring account. Adding and removing cameras is how you change that count.
You also need Ring Protect
An active Ring Protect plan is Ring’s own subscription, separate from ours. It’s what lets Ring share your camera feeds with an app like this, and it’s what records the clips you see in Activity.
The free trial
Every camera starts with a 7-day free trial. Cancelling during the trial costs nothing. A $1 charge during the trial is a temporary card authorization from Ring that drops off within a few days. Billing & refunds explains it.
Where to check your plan
Your Ring plans page lists every Video Watch Live add-on by camera name, with its price and next billing date. Video Watch Live is available to US Ring accounts for now, because that’s where Ring offers its App Store.
